Sarasota, FL, June 8th, 2020, Accesswire / After releasing and sharing a handful of episodes to an early audience of mostly technology, entertainment, and blockchain industry insiders, the Edge of NFT Podcast will officially launch on June 14th during DeFi Summit, the largest decentralized finance-focused blockchain conference of the year.
While much of the contemporary hype cycle around NFTs is focused on the latest multi-million dollar sale of collectible NFTs, Edge of NFT brings thought leaders to the forefront, who are now — and already have been — laying a foundation for an NFT rich future.
Co-hosts Eathan Janney, Jeff Kelley, and Josh Kriger converse with guests on the outer limits of what’s possible with blockchain technology both within the physical world and the digital world, as well as the metaverse, where these dimensions intersect, changing the landscape of a variety of industries including art, real estate, music, and fashion.
Guests to date include a variety of NFT leaders, from a 22-year-old former space engineering student and derivatives trading female founder, Emma-Jane MacKinnon-Lee, to a Stanford-trained tech veteran, Fred Krueger, who invented layers in Photoshop and nearly became the first investor in Salesforce.
A recent episode features Carlos Milian, former senior operations manager for Microsoft for over 11 years who founded Polka City, the world’s first 3D & AR NFT platform allowing participants to earn profits by owning virtual taxis, gas stations & services as NFTs.
The show features groundbreaking projects like SuperWorld, a virtual real estate platform mapped over the entire surface of the globe, allowing users to purchase plots of virtual land superimposed on Earth locations (think Times Square, the Taj Mahal, or the Pyramids of Giza). The Superworld platform is fulfilling a long-term plan to develop a multi-layer augmented reality social experience wherein users can engage with, create and monetize AR content.
As of June 8th, Edge of NFT is already one of the top 200 technology podcasts in the United States and the United Kingdom. At 15 episodes, released 1–2 times per week, the Edge of NFT podcast is already downloaded in 69 countries, including the US, UK, Brazil, China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
“Our primary goal is to support, nourish, and co-create this ecosystem, which we so deeply believe in. We are looking forward to announcing more partnerships soon that will further amplify the NFT ecosystem and empower our audience to fully participate in and build this future along with us,” said co-host Josh Kriger on the Podcast’s mission.
Edge of NFT’s partnership with DeFi Summit (www.defisummit.com) will feature the Podcast’s hosts leading conversations with pioneers in art, music, and blockchain technology during the conference’s NFT-themed first day. With over 5000 guests registered, DeFi Summit will be the largest virtual conference dedicated to decentralized finance and takes place from June 14th to 18th 2021.
